  • With many places to choose from, why should I choose Wendling Orthodontics ?

Our goal is to make everyone who walks in our door feel welcome and important.  We want to make a true connection with you and your family so that you leave our office with a smile on your face.  Our Doctors will use their years of experience and expertise to develop a customized plan for you so that you get the smile that you have always wanted.

Wendling Orthodontics has been an Invisalign provider since the introduction of Invisalign and Dr. Wendling will guide you in the decision between traditional braces and Invisalign so that your experience during treatment and your orthodontic result are the very best they can be.

  • Do you charge for an initial visit?

There is absolutely no obligation or charge for your initial consultation. We want you to learn about your options to get a new smile without any pressure.

  • At what age do you start seeing patients?

The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that all children be seen for the first time by age 7. As a general guideline, we like to evaluate young patients after the front permanent teeth just start to appear. This is usually between the ages of 6 and 8.

  • Do you take American Express, Master Card and/or Visa?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards.

  • Can I afford orthodontic treatment?

Absolutely! We have very flexible payment options to help make getting a new smile much more affordable.  Many dental insurance plans now include orthodontic benefits.  We offer low down payment options as well.  While we desire to provide as much cost detail as possible, each patient’s treatment needs and insurance plans vary greatly-therefore, for the most accurate cost details, please contact us using the easy contact form or give us call at 810-733-3410 to ask any questions and schedule your no charge initial consultation.

  • How long does Orthodontic Treatment usually take?

While the length of treatment time will vary based upon each patient and their unique needs, the average treatment time for a full set of braces or Invisalign is from 16 to 24 months.  Early or Phase I treatment is usually completed within 6 to 9 months. To find out your estimated treatment time, please schedule a FREE CONSULTATION using the Contact Form or call us at 810-733-3410.Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. Let us know, and we can assist you in utilizing your plan to take advantage of those pre-tax dollars!

  • Does insurance pay for braces / invisalign / orthodontics?

Yes, if your plan has orthodontic coverage.  Orthodontic insurance is an additional “rider” on dental insurance.  Our staff is here to help you determine your coverage as well as file your insurance claims. Insurance can be confusing, so please let us know if you have any questions, we are happy to assist in any way we can!

  • What if Dr Wendling is not a provider of my insurance?

With most insurance companies, you will still receive orthodontic benefits at our office, even if we are not a provider for your insurance company and we do not appear on your provider list. Feel free to contact us using the CONTACT FORM or give us a call at 810-733-3410 and we will be happy to check for you.

  • What is Phase One (early) Treatment?

Orthodontic problems are often diagnosed as early as 7 years of age and depending on the problem, Phase I treatment might be indicated.  Phase I treatment is usually started when children are between the age of 7 and 10.  This phase of treatment usually lasts from 6-9 months.  Not every orthodontic problem requires phase I treatment.   Dr. Wendling will do a thorough evaluation of your child and guide you in understanding your child’s unique orthodontic needs and recommend the appropriate age to begin treatment.  Children who require phase I orthodontic treatment often will require phase II treatment to finalize and perfect their orthodontic result.  Phase II treatment is usually started when a child is between the age of 11 and 14.

  • My teeth have been crooked for many years, am I too old for orthodontic treatment?

It is never too late!  Approximately 25% of our orthodontic patients are adults.  Orthodontic treatment can greatly improve dental function.  Healthy teeth can be moved at any age and teeth that work better usually look better, too.  A beautiful and healthy smile can improve self-esteem, no matter the age.  Our adult patients love the results they receive and often tell us how happy they are that they didn’t put off giving their smile the attention it deserves.
