Invisalign for Teens in Flint & Grand Blanc

Clear Aligners That Work Around Teen Life

Virtually invisible, removable, and designed for teenagers. Dr. Wendling, Dr. Perry and Dr. Nolan offer Invisalign for teens at two convenient locations across Genesee County.

Wendling Orthodontics has been providing Invisalign treatment since 2000. As one of the area’s Top Invisalign Providers, we’ve guided thousands of patients through their smile transformation, including many teens and their families.

Is Invisalign Right for Your Teen?

Clear aligner therapy uses a series of custom-made, virtually invisible aligners to gradually shift teeth into alignment. Aligners are removed to eat and brush, then worn back in, making them a flexible option for active teenagers.

Invisalign for teens tends to be a great fit for those who:

What Teen Invisalign Treatment Looks Like

From the first appointment to the final result, here’s what your teen can expect at Wendling Orthodontics.

Free Initial Consultation

Dr. Wendling or Dr. Perry reviews photos, a digital panoramic x-ray, and often a 3D iTero scan of your teen’s teeth. No impressions, no guesswork.

A Customized Treatment Plan

We develop a plan specific to your teen’s smile and discuss timelines, daily responsibilities, and cost before anything begins.

Aligners Delivered

Your teen receives their first set of aligners along with clear instructions on wear time and care. Each set is worn for 10-14 days before switching to the next.

Check-In Appointments Every 12 Weeks

We monitor progress, confirm teeth are tracking as planned, and provide the next sets of aligners at each visit.

Treatment Complete, Retainers in Place

Most teens finish in 12 to 20 months. At the end of treatment, we fit permanent and removable retainers to protect the results long-term.

What Our Patients Are Saying

Frequently Asked Questions About Teen Invisalign

How many hours a day does my teen need to wear Invisalign?

Aligners need to be worn 20-22 hours per day. They can be removed for 2-4 hours daily for eating, brushing, and flossing.

Treatment won’t progress as planned and can extend the overall timeline. We spend significant time at the consultation making sure teens and parents understand what consistent wear actually means before committing.

Yes. Aligners can be removed for contact sports, when wearing a mouthguard, or when playing a musical instrument. This flexibility is one reason many teens prefer Invisalign over traditional braces.

Many families are surprised to learn that Invisalign often costs about the same as traditional braces. We provide exact pricing during your free consultation based on your teen’s specific treatment needs.

Invisalign for teens works best once most or all permanent teeth have come in, typically around ages 11-14. Our doctors will evaluate your teen and let you know if the timing is right.

At the end of treatment, we provide a removable clear retainer for the upper and lower teeth, worn nightly. Consistent retainer wear is what keeps the results in place long-term. In certain cases, we may recommend a fixed retainer behind either the upper or lower teeth as well.
