How many hours a day do I need to wear my aligners?
You should wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours per day for treatment to stay on track. You can remove them for eating, brushing, and flossing, which adds up to about 2 to 4 hours daily. Unlike braces, there are no dietary restrictions since the aligners come out for meals. Keeping up with wear time is the single biggest factor in staying on schedule.
Can my teenager get Invisalign instead of braces?
Many of our teen patients choose Invisalign for Teens, which includes compliance indicators to help track daily wear time. Clear aligners work well for responsible teens who can commit to wearing them 20 to 22 hours per day. During your consultation, Dr. Wendling, Dr. Perry, or Dr. Nolan will talk through the daily responsibilities with your teen to help decide whether aligners or braces are the better fit.
Which Wendling Orthodontics office is closest to Flint?
Our Flint office at 1100 S Linden Rd is convenient for patients throughout the Flint area. We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and on select Fridays from 7:30am to 1:00pm. If Grand Blanc is easier to reach, our second office at 210 Reid Rd, Suite 214 is also available. Both offices offer the same treatment options and personal care.
