How far is Wendling Orthodontics from Flushing?

Our Flint office at 1100 S. Linden Rd. is about 10 miles from Flushing, roughly a 20-minute drive. It is the closest of our two locations. We also have a Grand Blanc office at 210 Reid Rd., Suite 214, for patients who find that more convenient. Both offices are open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What types of braces and aligners do you offer?

We offer metal braces, clear ceramic braces, lingual braces (placed behind the teeth), and Invisalign clear aligners. Each option has different advantages depending on your age, lifestyle, and treatment goals. During your free consultation, your doctor will evaluate your bite and walk you through which options are a good fit for you.

Is my child too young for orthodontic treatment?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children be evaluated by age 7. That does not mean treatment starts at 7 for every child. Our doctors evaluate each child individually and only recommend early (Phase I) treatment when it offers a clear benefit, like correcting a crossbite or guiding jaw growth. Phase I typically lasts 6 to 9 months. Many children will not need early treatment and can wait for comprehensive (Phase II) treatment once their permanent teeth are in.

How do your payment plans work?

We offer interest-free, in-house payment plans with down payments as low as $800 to $1,000 and monthly payments as low as $175 to $225. We accept all major credit cards, HSA and FSA funds, and work with financing partners including CareCredit, LendingClub, and Sunbit. If you have orthodontic insurance, our team will help you maximize your benefits and handle the claims process for you.

Am I too old for braces or Invisalign?

About 25% of our patients are adults. Healthy teeth can be moved at any age, and many adults find that Invisalign fits well into their daily routine because the aligners are removable and virtually invisible. Your doctor will help you weigh the options during your free consultation.

The staff members were all very friendly and accommodating for me and my two children that had to accompany me to my appointment. I wasn’t made to feel a nuisance for having to bring my children, instead everyone was very understanding, welcoming, and even engaging with them. Dr. Wendling was very personable and kind. The staff gave my children toothbrushes and little stuffed animals even though they weren’t being seen and it was very heart warming. My son had his braces removed and needed a return visit the next day, unfortunately I was headed out the country and couldn’t make it in to pick up my son’s retainers, the office went out of their way to drop them off to him at school.
