Dr. Wendling has been transforming smiles since 1998. A University of Michigan graduate inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, her commitment to clinical excellence ensures every patient receives thorough, personal care.

Dr. Jessica Perry, DDS, MS

Dr. Perry brings expertise and genuine warmth to every appointment. Also a University of Michigan graduate and OKU inductee, she’s dedicated to making patients feel confident and cared for.

Dr. Nolan Wendling, DDS, MS

Dr. Nolan Wendling left Mid-Michigan to get the best training he could find — Columbia University for dental school, Saint Louis University for his orthodontic residency — and then came straight back. He believes the journey to a great smile should actually be enjoyable, and he brings that mindset to every patient he sees.

The staff members were all very friendly and accommodating for me and my two children that had to accompany me to my appointment. I wasn’t made to feel a nuisance for having to bring my children, instead everyone was very understanding, welcoming, and even engaging with them. Dr. Wendling was very personable and kind. The staff gave my children toothbrushes and little stuffed animals even though they weren’t being seen and it was very heart warming. My child had to get expanders today and everyone from the front desk staff to the assistant and orthodontist were absolutely amazing, patient, kind and caring. My son had his braces removed and needed a return visit the next day, unfortunately I was headed out the country and couldn’t make it in to pick up my son’s retainers, the office went out of their way to drop them off to him at school. At what age should my child see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontics recommends children be evaluated by age 7, when permanent teeth start coming in. That said, it’s never too late for treatment. About 25% of our patients are adults. Healthy teeth can be moved at any age, and many adult patients tell us they wish they hadn’t waited so long.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

Most patients complete treatment in 12-24 months for braces or 12-20 months for Invisalign. Phase I treatment for younger children typically lasts 6-9 months. We’ll give you a personalized timeline during your free consultation based on your specific needs.

What's the difference between braces and Invisalign?

Both options can achieve excellent results. Braces work continuously and are often best for complex cases or younger patients. Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and removable, but require wearing them 20-22 hours daily. During your consultation, we’ll help you understand which option fits your lifestyle and orthodontic needs.
